I wanted to wait until the day after to make music responding to the first felony convictions ever bestowed on an American president.
I’m glad I did. Because the last 24 hours have revealed a lot.
Noise #158 channels my relief that lying and cheating can still have consequences for those with maximum power and minimal conscience. That even the thickest Teflon can warp under heat.
The music channels my disgust at right-wing acid, splattered by those who would rather eat away at our collective senses of common decency, and the rule of law, than see their godhead held accountable.
The piece channels the harsh dissonance of a 34-times-convicted felon still remaining hugely popular, and competitive for the highest post in the land.
And Noise #158 reflects hometown pride. Because NYC got this one right.
